The kitchen combines food preparation, grease, moisture and frequent contact, so a clear cleaning sequence helps. Start with clutter, then work from higher surfaces toward the floor.
Suggested sequence
- Clear counters and check food-storage areas.
- Dust or wipe upper surfaces.
- Clean cabinet fronts and handles.
- Clean the cooktop and splash areas.
- Wipe appliances according to their care instructions.
- Clean the sink and surrounding area.
- Finish with the floor.
Always follow the manufacturer instructions for appliances and never mix cleaning chemicals unless the product label explicitly permits it.
The checklist is practical and easy to follow. I am going to use it for my next weekend cleaning session.
